Day 3

The third day of our 5-day team escapades was spent in Mactan Island, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu Province. It was a good day to relax and enjoy after a hard day’s night, partying and drinking. We booked at no resort ahead, so while we were in Cebu City preparing for the getaway, Brenda was doing her research on where to go exactly. It was a cloudy day, so we were also hoping it would not rain.

We Dipped

The sun did not come out as bright as we hoped but fair enough, it didn’t rain. We took a jeepney ride to Cebu White Sands. We surveyed the place and found that it was good. The pool was cold. I am not used to swimming with other people without a shirt on, but then I did. After the cold dip, we had lunch and negotiated a boatman for our snorkeling adventure.

We Explored

We rented two boats (actually the charging was per head) to explore the marine wonders. It was a long paddle for the four boatmen considering the windy forecast. Few snorkels made our marine exploits; we had a glimpse of marine diversity, fed the fishes and enjoyed the dive for an hour. It was a great experience.

We Had Fun

When we arrived at the resort, we played a “no-rule” beach volleyball. A bunch of losers on that department. Although we could not keep a long rally, we had fun. After our snorkeling, we went back to the pool and played basketball hoop, without the hoop. But then we decided to play tag, instead and almost lost our breaths. That was exciting!

It was such a lovely day to remember. The day ended with few picture-taking and a mini tour within the resort. We rode a jeepney going to Park Mall (my first time), got some cash and had our dinner. After dinner, we took another jeepney ride (probably Jeff’s fifth) going to SM Cebu, then home.

Photos will be uploaded soon.
