The Distinct Art of Blogging

As I mentioned in my previous post, “Blog at the Spotlight”, I have been self-blogging and involved in a collaborative project for more than a year now. Fourteen months sounds already long for me but in reality, that length of time was too short to have only spent it exploring the first of the many stages of learning the tough blogging world. I still need many years to learn, understand and master the essential skills required to become a certified blogger.
A dominant medium for self-expression
I would consider this interactive medium of publishing web content one of the dominant forms of art in the modern age of technology, and writing. It is both creative and technical. Creative in the sense that we need to squeeze out our creative juices and give life to our thoughts and opinion through a well-written article. And the technical department literally applies to the process of learning how to use digital tools and observing blogging guidelines.
An instrument to unleash talents and skills
The depth and profusion of blogging are just amazing. We can choose to be talented or without frills, express ourselves and don’t be afraid to own our ideas. Blogging can be a way of discovering a skill that has been lying dormant within us—like painting and cooking for example—and we would love to write about them. Blogging can be a large stadium filled with spectators anticipating the revelation of our creative endowments. This art will allow us to showcase what we really love doing, hone our talents and let the world see it.
A platform for a passion
There is at least one thing that we are passionate about. And when we are passionate about a thing, we would love doing it and telling people about it. Blogging encourages us to do that, to write about the thing we are most passionate about, introduce it to the world and if it’s already a common thing, it doesn’t matter. What matters is, we have our own brand of doing and embracing it.
The art of being “YOU”
Because blogging is an art, whether or not we are writing a good blog doesn’t make us less of a person. It inspires us to shed our skin and be who we really are when we are on the blogging platform—as much as possible, without pretensions and sugar-coating. Responsible blogging has no laws that prohibit us to unravel our inner thoughts and feelings but instead, it encourages us to bring out what we are capable of on this feat. And that would be surprising.
A journey to discovery
Blogging inspires us to write about the thing we are most passionate about. But it would also drive us to explore and uncover fresh ideas. It is about trying something new, relevant and pleases us more than it would excite other people. Blogging doesn’t push us to cross the border and be out of our comfort zones but heartens us to take one step at a time, a pace in which we are most comfortable.
One of the challenging roads
Blogging is an open highway with crossroads. Along the way, we see beautiful sights, get valuable ideas, meet wonderful people, find interesting discoveries, and experience different challenges. The good thing about this blogging journey is that we have full control of our every stop, and probably of our destination. But the best parts of it are the instances where we are learning.
The art of blogging is unique for me because it makes a difference in our lives in many different ways, even most of the time we are unaware. The is so much more to blogging than following, liking, sharing, and leaving comments. But when we are blogging, we should always be responsible.

Why Do I Blog?

Blogging. I have encountered the word many times long ago, but I never had any idea how it would influence public opinion and affect the lives of many people. Truly, technological advancement has brought amazing things that would showcase the world at a child’s palm not only to revel at its awe-inspiring wonders but also to scrutinize it right from its colossal features down to its tiniest details.
The blogosphere has become a powerful platform for people to speak their minds, convey their feelings, share their views, and exercise their right to expression. It has become one of the most influential innovations that allow almost everyone to unravel secrets, to discuss crucial issues, to provide information, dissect ideas, present new inventions, educate the public, share random thoughts, and inspire people to participate in addressing various social, economic, ecological, spiritual, political, health, and even personal quandaries. But there are still many things to discover within the blogosphere.
This is my third blog site. Thanks to the few people who followed and visited  http://www.bloodspotsharbor.com and my apologies for the site was already down and I will no longer be able to post anything on that site. When I created my Gmail account for that site, I ensured it was protected. But I was a victim of pickpockets who stole my phone, which was the one I registered to Google for security purposes. I made several attempts to recover the account but to no avail. So, I gave up and decided to make this one. You can still visit our collaborative blog site, the Lightning Bulb: An Inktellectual Project. But that site had been stagnant for many years now.
Why do I blog? Because blogging is fun, enriching and powerful. For me, it is an effective way of conveying my thoughts, imparting my knowledge, relating my experiences, and expressing how I feel about anything. It is an interesting place where I can learn new things, insights and information from other people’s experiences. It is where I can share with the world my success, my elation and my excitement. And I still have more reasons you will know through this journey.
Now that I have been exposed and gained a lot of ideas related to the relevance of blogging, I will try to make The Cuthing Edge something different. I know that visiting a blog site takes time, so I will try not to waste your time to nonsensical ramblings, except of course for those things I just love expressing for my own delight. So, thank you for your time reading this and I hope to see you tagging along with me on my flight in the blogosphere.
